Meet Cynthia

I am a changemaker and communications expert. I shift people, teams, organizations and cultures to go from overwhelmed to clear and activated. I do this through my writing, speaking, training and coaching.

I began my advocacy journey as a pregnant mom on bed rest. I soon found my 25+ years of public relations experience helps me make the human connection and get clear on the story I’m relaying. My lived experience raising a child with disabilities, combined with my professional experience, has been the foundation of my advocacy work.

As a university instructor, corporate trainer and conference speaker, I’m experienced at breaking down advocacy skills and techniques into bite size and easy to understand pieces.

Over the years I’ve volunteered as an advocate and patient advisor in Ontario and British Columbia.

In addition to writing two patient advocacy books and a series of e-books, I’ve also developed training videos, templates and resources to help individuals and organizations strengthen their communications and leadership skills, supporting personal and professional development.

I also offer corporate training, presentations and workshops. For an overview of topics and to book me for your organization, visit my Speakers Bureau of Canada profile
